If you have experience in the Valve and Automation industry with a background in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Mining, Chemical, Municipal Water Works, or other Process Industries, you may be the right fit. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement business strategies for growth and market penetration

  • Prepare and execute technical presentations for prospects and clients in the energy and process flow markets

  • Acquire new clients and grow key clients throughout your assigned territory

  • Track business development activities and opportunities in CRM software to maintain accurate workload and revenue forecasts

  • Understand client needs and recommend solutions to their valve and automation applications

  • Collaborate with internal team members to create success for clients and contribute positively to company culture

  • Regina or Saskatoon based position with up to 25% travel within Saskatchewan

  • Work is completed at home office or client sites up to 50% of the time

Qualifications


  • Preferred: Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Engineering is preferred

  • Acceptable: Bachelors or Masters Degree in another relevant technical field

  • Acceptable: Diploma in Instrumentation and Automation

Experience


  • Established track record in technical channel sales

  • Minimum 3 years of proven technical experience in industrial process industries

  • Background in industrial equipment technologies

  • Creative solution provider to client's critical issues and applications

Skills


  • Ability to interpret and specify datasheets, P&ID's and drawings

  • Comfortable planning projects and leveraging resources to guide to close

  • Entrepreneurial approach to work

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM. Salesforce experience is an asset.

  • Exceeding revenue and margin targets between $3-6 million
