Job Description:
We are looking for a Shipping Receiving Technician to join our growing team and support our fast-paced, high-volume, made-to-order Sprocket Manufacturer in the beautiful South Slocan, BC. We offer a relaxed and human-centric and inclusive environment where our team members are encouraged to be themselves and learn in a safe atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packaging, labeling and arranging for shipments leaving our facility
- Completing all freight documentation/book pickupsand labeling product
- Receiving all shipments delivered to the door ensuring all are weighed
- Ensuring material received matches packing slip and purchase orders match up to packing slip
- Use of forklift (big and small) for loading and unloading shipments from freight trucks
- Ensuring sufficient supplies are located in the shipping area
- Help co-workers in the assembly and final completion of parts for shipping
- Make sure the work area is clean to ensure a safe environment
- Complete any other tasks assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the shop
- Act as a member of a team to support the production of sprockets
Requirements:
- High attention to detail
- High level of adaptability and learning agility
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings to identify quality issues (training will be provided with this skill development)
- Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts and ability to safely lift 50lbs
- Ability to work 4 on 4 off on a rotation schedule, including weekends and stat holidays
- Previous experience in shipping, warehousing or manufacturing, preferred
