DEPARTMENT: Family and Settlement
POSITION FUNCTION:
The Case Management Alliance Curriculum Developer works with the Case Management Alliance Manager and Alliance Member Agencies to create asynchronous instructional materials to support the training of new case managers. They are responsible for the ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and development of the learning materials that are created within the learning platform.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Incorporate MOSAICs principles and values into online learning component; apply experience-based knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning, and reflect best practices in current online course components
- With the support of the Alliance Manager and member agencies, develops online and integrated case management training modules courses/programs
- Conducts needs assessments to understand audience and develop learning objectives for training modules
- Works within existing platforms to develop online, flexible learning components that are learner- centered, interactive and accommodate the learners needs
- Develops and implements the curriculum content within Moodle or equivalentlearning platform being used by MOSAIC
- Assist the Manager in the preparation of program reports as needed, providing information and updates on the status of the training modules
- Participate in departmental, all-staff, trainings and meetings
- Attends Case Management Alliance meetings as needed to collect feedback, introduce the training modules and help with socializing the modules to agencies Collaborates cross-departmentally to meet the needs of the curriculum and share information
- Works with external vendors as needed
- Works with BC Alliance members to develop and edit content and pilot the course modules
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary degree, certificate, or diploma in Education, Social Work, Instructional Design, or a combination or coursework and equivalent experience
- At least two years of experience teaching adult learners
- Experience developing engaging, learner-centered online learning activities in Moodle
- Knowledge of online teaching and learning and Moodle and H5P course design tools
- Knowledge and experience with needs assessments, task-based learning, student-centered design
- Working knowledge of IRCC case management framework
- Understanding about newcomers and settlement immigration process an asset
- A current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required
COMPENSATION: $31.26 - $34.56 per hour
HOURS: 35 hours per week. This is a fixed-term contract until March 31, 2026
The successful candidate may have ahybrid work modelworking at two offices (304-2730 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, and 5575 Boundary Road).
