Signature Aluminum Canada Inc. is looking for a motivated Met Saw Operator to join our production team on a full-time basis. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with machinery, takes pride in producing quality work, and is committed to safety and precision. About the Role As a Met Saw Operator, you'll be an integral part of a 5-member team responsible for cutting, inspecting, and packaging aluminum profiles using a variety of machines—including the T-Sune Saw, and Met Saw. You'll rotate across stations and complete full training within the first 3–6 months. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing while contributing to a high-quality, customer-focused operation. Key Responsibilities * Machine Operation & Rotation: Set up and operate manual and automated saws safely and efficiently. Load raw aluminum profiles, monitor equipment performance, and follow all safety procedures. * Quality Assurance: Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using tools such as calipers and rulers. Identify and report non-conforming materials to the supervisor. * Packaging & Shipping Prep: Label, weigh, and package finished materials according to customer specifications. * Team Collaboration & Safety: Participate in daily safety meetings, communicate effectively with team members, and maintain a clean, organized work area. * Documentation & Reporting: Enter production data and quality control metrics into shop floor systems. Record downtime, machine issues, and inspection results. Qualifications * Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse operations is an asset. Familiarity with industrial machinery or power tools is preferred. * Certifications: Forklift or Overhead Crane certification is a plus. * Skills & Attributes: ** Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail ** Basic math and measurement skills ** Effective communication and teamwork ** Willingness to learn and adapt in a cross-trained environment ** Dependable, safety-conscious, and physically capable of performing the role Working Conditions * Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts, presently strictly day shift (schedule follows the Collective Agreement) * Environment: Indoor production floor with varying noise levels and physical demands * Physical Requirements: Regular lifting, bending, standing, and handling of materials throughout the shift * PPE & Training: All required safety equipment and training provided Why Join Us?
