OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the VP of Engineering & Delivery will oversee the quality, delivery, and continuous improvement of our SaaS product portfolio, which serves global retail clients. We are a B2B SaaS company with two distinct products that are being merged into a unified solution. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for managing engineering teams, mobile development, product delivery, and quality assurance, while ensuring the successful delivery of products that meet client expectations.

You will represent the company in client calls, assist the Client Support team with L3 support issues, and navigate a fast-changing technology landscape. This role demands experience in reorganizing teams, working in an agile environment, and managing release dates and SOW commitments to clients, balancing strategic planning with tactical execution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
1. Leadership & Team Development

  • Demonstrate a track record of successful product delivery, ensuring timely, high-quality releases that align with client expectations and SOW commitments.
  • Lead the reorganization and scaling of engineering teams to improve efficiency and adaptability, aligning with agile practices while ensuring resources are allocated effectively across projects.
  • Lead a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and high performance within your teams, setting ambitious goals and guiding them toward successful outcomes.
  • Balance long-term strategic planning with hands-on execution, ensuring that projects meet deadlines and align with the companys broader goals.

2. Product Delivery & Quality Assurance

  • Lead the unification of two distinct products into a single solution, ensuring consistency, seamless integration, and the highest quality delivery to our clients.
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery by overseeing the product delivery process from concept through to completion, ensuring that releases are delivered on time, meet client commitments, and are of the highest quality.
  • Manage Agile Processes; Champion agile methodologies to ensure the team can quickly adapt to evolving client needs, shifting priorities, and changing technology landscapes, all while maintaining adherence to release dates.

3. Partnership with Client Success & Client Support

  • Represent the company on client calls, acting as a senior technical point of contact for high-level discussions related to product delivery, architecture, and resolving L3 support issues.
  • Work closely with the client support team to address complex, escalated L3 support issues related to the SaaS products, ensuring fast resolutions and minimal disruption to clients.
  • Partner with product management, sales, and client success teams to ensure the seamless integration of new features and maintain client satisfaction.

4. Performance Optimization & AI Integration for Developer Productivity

  • Drive improvements in developer productivity through the integration of AI and other technologies, enhancing workflows, reducing friction, and optimizing development processes.
  • Develop and execute a platform strategy that balances product delivery goals, technical improvements, and the management of technical debt, driving ongoing enhancements to the product suite.

5. Technology-Driven Product Innovation

  • Use emerging technologies and innovative tools to drive product enhancements and new feature development, ensuring our products remain competitive and meet evolving customer needs.
  • Encourage and lead the team in adopting new technologies and innovative approaches that continuously improve product offerings and client satisfaction.
  • Successfully navigate and lead in a fast-changing, high-growth environment, staying ahead of industry trends and ensuring engineering practices remain cutting-edge.

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; masters degree.
  • 5+ years of senior management experience within a B2B SaaS company, with a proven ability to lead teams, manage multitenant solutions, and meet client commitments.
  • Experience representing the company on client calls, particularly in the context of technical discussions and L3 support.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving business and technology environment, staying ahead of emerging trends and continuously improving processes.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering complex B2B SaaS products, meeting client expectations, and managing successful delivery with strong focus on SOW commitments and release deadlines.
  • Familiarity with scaling SaaS platforms, particularly in multitenant environments, with a focus on optimizing performance and functionality for large, global clients.
  • Expertise in technologies such as React, .NET, SQL Server, Elasticsearch, Redis, and cloud services (Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with mobile app development for iOS and Android, including knowledge of frameworks like .NET MAUI.
  • Proven experience leveraging AI and other technologies to enhance developer workflows, increase productivity, and streamline development processes.
  • Strong background in agile methodologies, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on high-quality, timely delivery.
