POSITION SUMMARY:
The Administrative Assistant will support Kinsight with the collection and storage of all documentation related to its work including the lives and stories of youth, adults, self-advocates and seniors with developmental disabilities, their daily lives and their participation in community. This will include work with senior leadership on the following key tasks and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to implement and enhance our digital information management systems
- Convert historical and current paper documentation into electronic formats through data entry and scanning
- Maintain organized records of client stories, experiences, and daily activities
- Assist in developing and implementing efficient document storage and folder/file naming conventions
- Review current documentation processes and recommend improvements for collecting and storing information
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Certificate or post-secondary courses in Administration or a related field.
- Knowledge and/or experience of disability issues, community involvement, and/or non-profit organizations an asset.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proficient in the use of computers and other digital technology and tools to find, manage, apply, create, and share information and content.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications - Word and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills, ability to undertake self-directed tasks while working in a team environment.
- The ability to contribute and support others to achieve a common goal.
- The ability to receive, understand, consider, and share information and ideas through speaking, listening, and interacting with others.
- Strong problem solving skills.
REQUIREMENTS:

HOURS OF WORK/TERM OF EMPLOYMENT/WAGE/LOCATION:
- June 23, 2025 - August 29, 2025
- 35 hours/week - Monday to Friday - 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- $20.84/hour
- Office location is Port Moody - work will also take place in community in the Tri-Cities and New Westminster
