We have a current vacancy for a dedicated and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team full-time, year-round in Whitefish, Ontario. Compensation:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually based on experience and skills, plus comprehensive benefits and pension plans, along with performance-based bonus and profit-sharing programs

The ideal candidate:

  • Has 35 years of experience as a Logistics Manager (or equivalent) in a medium-sized business
  • Brings hands-on knowledge of logistics roles they will oversee (an asset)
  • Holds a high school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or certification in logistics, business, or supply chain is a nice-to-have
  • Possesses a strong business mindset and understands workflow efficiencies and how to balance maximizing revenues and minimizing costs without compromising on safety, quality and customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills; conversational French is an asset
  • Excels at organization, multitasking, and performing in fast-paced environments
  • Has proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Brings strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
  • Performs well under pressure and consistently meets deadlines
  • Maintains a high attention to detail and strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills
  • Is experienced with CRM and ERP systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Can create and manage detailed spreadsheets and documents
  • Has a proven ability to learn new software systems quickly and efficiently (we use Salesforce, Dialpad, Google Suite in a Mac environment)
  • Can meet the physical demands of the job, including periods of standing, walking on uneven ground, lifting, bending, and equipment access as needed for daily huddles, safety or quality inspections

What will you be doing?

  • Manage all inbound and outbound logistics for wholesale, retail, and dealership deliveries
  • Negotiate with third-party carriers and secure cost-effective freight rates
  • Coordinate shipments, factory returns, warranty items, and logistics schedules
  • Maintain and update the online shipping/dispatch plan; adjust as needed for delays or service interruptions
  • Oversee fleet compliance, licensing, CVOR status, and maintenance scheduling
  • Ensure electronic logbook accuracy and generate monthly compliance reports
  • Support and coach drivers in handling breakdowns and routine repairs
  • Collaborate with operations and mechanics on fleet purchases and equipment sourcing
  • Set clear goals and schedules for the logistics team and yard crew
  • Lead daily huddles, provide coaching and performance feedback, and manage staffing needs
  • Ensure safe, clean, and organized yard operations aligned with brand standards
  • Review transportation profitability and provide regular cost/revenue reporting
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure all outgoing shipments meet safety and compliance standards
  • Maintain strong communication with suppliers, clients, and internal teams
