Position: Estimator - Inside Sales (Water Works)

Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator with Inside Sales experience, specializing in water works projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing material takeoffs from design drawings and specifications, creating accurate estimates, and supporting the sales process through strong product knowledge and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform material takeoffs from civil drawings, plans, and specifications related to water, sewer, and storm drain systems.

• Develop accurate estimates based on project scope, drawings, and client requirements.

• Read and interpret blueprints, design layouts, and material submittals.

• Collaborate with customers, engineers, and contractors to provide technical support and product recommendations.

• Prepare and submit bids, proposals, and pricing in a timely and competitive manner.

• Work closely with vendors and suppliers to obtain current pricing and availability of materials.

• Support outside sales teams with project information and pricing strategy.

• Maintain relationships with clients through prompt and professional communication.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of inside sales and estimating experience in the water works industry (municipal or utility focus preferred).

• Working knowledge of takeoffs - including reading and interpreting civil plans, drawings, and material lists.

• Familiarity with industry materials (ductile iron pipe, valves, fittings, hydrants, etc.).

• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Eclipse, SAP, etc.).

• Previous experience working with municipalities, utilities, or contractors
