The Opportunity

Were seeking a strategic Account Director to provide leadership for a portfolio of key client relationships, fostering long-term partnerships through thoughtful planning and proven expertise. This role demands a strategic thinker capable of translating business challenges into comprehensive marketing solutions, directly contributing to high client retention through proactive relationship management. The ideal candidate will excel in directing strategic roadmaps for clients, ensuring seamless onboarding, and nurturing multi-year relationships by consistently delivering deep and meaningful value-added solutions. What You Will Do Client Strategy & Relationship Management

  • Act as the central point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients, providing strategic leadership and nurturing long-term relationships built on a deep understanding of their business and evolving needs.
  • Execute proactive relationship management strategies, including regular check-ins, sharing valuable insights, and anticipating potential concerns, to ensure strong client satisfaction and maximize retention.
  • Lead all client meetings, including onboarding, regular strategic discussions, performance reviews, and executive-level presentations, ensuring clear communication and fostering strong client trust.
  • Regularly conduct strategic business reviews with clients to strengthen relationships, assess alignment, and proactively identify opportunities for enhanced agency collaboration.
  • Collaborate with Sales Solutions team members to identify, pursue, and close opportunities for upselling and cross-selling agency services to existing clients.

Account Management & Delivery

  • Oversee the successful execution of all projects within your portfolio, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage projects in the agency's project management system, ensuring projects and tasks are accurately resourced, scheduled effectively, and contain all necessary information.
  • Maintain transparent communication regarding project progress and proactively identify/ resolve potential delays.
  • Capture actionable insights and key decisions during all internal and client meetings, ensuring a clear understanding and alignment across teams.
  • Maintain accurate and organized internal and client-shared folder structures.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely billing of projects and partnerships within your portfolio.
  • Follow up with internal production team members to ensure clarity of expectations for delivery and output.
  • Collaborate with fellow Client Services team members to ensure cohesive resource allocation across projects, participating in weekly internal review meetings, and maintaining client details in shared environments.
  • Regularly report on the overall health of assigned client accounts to the VP of Client Services, including key performance indicators, client satisfaction levels, potential risks and opportunities, and any significant account developments.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct post-mortem analyses on key projects and client engagements to identify learnings and recommendations for future improvements in both delivery and client relationship management.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes for websites and other digital assets, working with strategy and design teams to guarantee the final product meets the highest quality standards and client objectives.
  • Critically evaluate marketing strategies and presentations before client delivery, providing strategic feedback to ensure they are sound, clear, and aligned with the clients business goals.

Qualifications

  • Business, marketing, or other relevant undergraduate degree or diploma.
  • Minimum five (5) years of agency experience in an Account Director role or a senior-level Account/Project Management role with a proven history of driving client growth.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior-level clients.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communicating effectively with C-suite executives, including leading strategic presentations and discussions.
  • Significant digital marketing acumen with an understanding of integrated marketing strategies.
  • Strong organizational, account management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to operate independently and collaboratively within a dynamic agency environment.

What We Offer You

  • Remote-first work with quarterly in-person attendance at company "State of the Union" and occasional in-person client meetings. Preference for candidates residing in the Golden Horseshoe and surrounding region.
