Are you a creative and driven communications student looking to gain real-world experience?
We're hiring a Communications Student Intern for the summer to support our long-term care home initiatives. This is a hands-on opportunity to develop skills in content creation, social media management, and digital asset organization, while also collecting resident and team member testimonials and capturing impactful photography and/or video.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Write and edit emails, newsletters, and social media posts. Assist with website content and basic graphic design.
- Social Media: Create and schedule posts, monitor engagement, and provide insights for improvement.
- Digital Asset Management: Organize and catalogue photos, videos, and testimonials, ensuring proper labeling and easy retrieval.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct research on communication mediums and their effectiveness in specific locations.
- Testimonial & Photography Collection: Visit long-term care homes to interview residents and team members , gather stories, and take photos/videos for promotional use.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Communications, Marketing, or related program.
- Strong writing, research, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Google Suite, Canva, and content management tools (e.g., WordPress, Hootsuite).
- Basic graphic design and photography skills are a plus.
- Comfortable interacting with residents and teams in care settings.
