Job Details:
Position - Shuttle driver
Location - Edmonton Airport
Hours - Full-Time / MUST have OPEN AVAILABILITY
The Spirit of the Position:
The Shuttle Driveris responsible for the effective, efficient, and safe transportation, loading and unloading of passengers & employees to and from the airport terminal and employee parking, and to ensure that all activities support the safety and welfare of all passengers.
Principal Job Duties:
- Meet and greet all guests upon arrival; provides assistance with loading and unloading luggage for every passenger.
Perform DOT daily inspections on assigned equipment, report safety issues immediately to Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
Transport passengers via a fixed route with scheduled pick-up and drop-off locations for passengers.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe Shuttle at all times.
Immediately report any accidents, incidents or safety concerns to Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
Provide excellent customer service to guests; respond to guest inquiries in a courteous manner, give directions to nearest highway, destination, etc.
Be aware of potential passengers and approach guests seeking assistance.
Record passenger number stats and complete daily/shift reporting as required.
Always communicate professionally with guests, clients, and teammates.
Frequently operate two-way radio.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 3 or more years of driving experience.
Comply with Federal DOT, Provincial Rules/Regulations, and Company Policy.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Valid Drivers License with passenger endorsement if applicable.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays.
Physical Demands:
Ability to physically push/pull/lift to 22.67 kg
Ability to bend at the knees or squat frequently throughout a shift
Willingness to work in inclement weather (rain, sleet, snow, heat, high wind, etc.)
