Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
• Follow recipes and adjust ingredients as needed to ensure product consistency.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the baking area, following food safety guidelines.
• Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards and are properly displayed.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and inform management when reordering is necessary.
• Manage time effectively to ensure that all products are prepared on time.
• Assist in the creation of new baked goods and recipes.
• Calculate the food costs of new products by tracking ingredient prices, portion sizes, and production time to ensure profitability.
• Work with management to adjust recipes, ingredient quantities, or pricing to meet cost targets for new baked goods.
• Follow all health and safety regulations while handling food and equipment.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in baking or pastry preparation is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, equipment, and ingredient handling.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to work long hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• A passion for baking and creating delicious products.
• Basic understanding of food cost calculations and ability to analyze ingredient prices and portion sizes.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
