About The Role
As a Deal Accounting Clerk you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely posting of vehicle sales and related transactions. You will collaborate closely with the Sales and F&I teams to ensure that all deal information is accurate, compliant, and efficiently processed.
We're currently seeking a Full-Time Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team in office 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile the cash account regularly.
- Post loan payout, lease buyouts, and vehicle purchase, and prepare payment.
- Post and reconcile manufacturer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Post vehicle sales and verify details including sales contracts, rebates, incentives, and commissions
- Collaborate with Sales and F&I teams to resolve discrepancies related to vehicle deals.
- Prepare and submit monthly remittances for extended warranties and aftermarket products.
- Maintain and clean up vehicle inventory schedules to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience in an automotive dealership setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in Excel with knowledge of basic formulas and functions (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIF, and conditional formatting).
- Experience with Reynolds is a strong asset but not required.
- Accounting diploma or degree is required.
