The Electrician is responsible for planning, assembling, installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment in buildings and other structures. This role ensures that all electrical installations adhere to relevant codes, safety regulations, and company specifications while minimizing material waste and facilitating future maintenance.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all electrical work complies with applicable codes and specifications.
Plan, Client out, assemble, install, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and control devices.
Diagnose, locate, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and necessary repairs.
Maintain a valid electrician's license or identification card per government regulations.
Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
Demonstrate awareness of and adhere to all Food Safety policies.
Follow the requirements outlined byour Client and Orillia's Quality Management System (QMS).
Support key departmental objectives and the QMS.
Perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a 4-year electrical apprenticeship program.
Government-issued skilled trade certification.
Knowledge of PLC systems, DC/AC drives, installation, and troubleshooting.
In house Electrical Safety Course Level 1 or 2 certification.
