MFM Limited Partnership is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for the position ofAutomotive Service Technician (AST)/Light Duty Mechanicto join our operation at our Syncrude Site operation.

MFM Limited Partnership, a Mikisew Group company, provides comprehensive Client services in vehicle inspection and light duty repair services.

• Shift: 14 days on, 14 days off, 12 hours per day (30-minute unpaid lunch). Work is conducted under an Hours of Work Averaging Arrangement (HWAA) -formerlyknown as a Compressed Work Week.
• Duration: 3 months
• Local residency in Fort McMurray. No Camp/Accommodations provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform repair work and routine maintenance on light duty vehicles and equipment,
• Check light duty equipment such as light duty trucks, vans, cars and support equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
• Adjust, repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
• Complete service reports
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician (AST)
• Light Duty Technician Certification
  • Red Seal Certification preferred
• Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean driver's abstract (Mandatory)
• Successfully complete Pre-Access Alcohol & Drug Screening
  
• 5 years experience working in a light duty automotive facility servicing light vehicles and support equipment.
• Successful candidates are responsible for providing their own general tools. A tool allowance is provided as part of the compensation package.
