We're an organization that focuses on moving quickly, adapting, and getting things done.

Equinix has a growing set of digital services that complement our 250+ data centers. We partner with all major cloud providers to deliver infrastructure that enables over 10,000 customers.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging content (tech blogs, videos, articles, code samples, tutorials) to educate developers on Equinix's digital infrastructure capabilities

  • Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and demos at developer conferences, meetups, and user groups, with a focus on building applications that leverage Equinix's digital infrastructure

  • Contribute to the overall goals of Equinix's Developer Marketing team

  • Use your lived experience and technical expertise on work with our product, digital, and growth marketing teams to shape authentic messaging, strategies, and effective go-to-market approaches that resonate with our practitioner audience

  • Support the events that the organization sponsors by actively participating at conferences

  • Promote the activities of our integration, start up, and solution provider team where appropriate

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers through active participation in online communities, forums, and developer events

  • Gather feedback from developers and translate it into actionable insights for the product and engineering teams

  • Conduct interviews with media (podcasts, video, and in-person)

  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies related to interconnection, cloud, networking, and distributed systems. (You'll be a lifelong learner, always eager to explore new technologies!)

Qualifications

  • Experience in a developer relations or developer advocacy role

  • Minimum 1 year of experience presenting technical topics and creating tutorials, blogs, how-to guides, demos, workshops, videos, presentations, and other technical content

  • Proven experience as a developer or technical architect with a strong understanding of cloud-native concepts like virtualization, containerization, Linux, IaC, etc.

  • Experience with Cloud Networking concepts (VLANs, NAT, VPC, DNS, etc.)

  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)

  • Excellent written and presentation skills with the ability to tailor content for different audiences (developers, platform engineers, business leaders)

  • Strong initiative, organization and prioritization skills with the proven ability to work in a self-directed environment

  • Passion for developer communities and a strong desire to build relationships with developers

  • Ability to stay up-to-date on the latest cloud, networking, and infrastructure trends and be willing to learn new technologies

  • This role requires some travel (25+%) to attend events, meet with partners, and internal activities

Bonus Points

  • Possess a meaningful social media presence with engaged followers
