Job description

Clinical Dispensing Pharmacist – 1 YEAR

Full Time (Full Time = 40 hours a week)

The successful candidate should demonstrate key qualities to providing extraordinary patient care services with pleasure in delivering exceptional customer service. Efficiency is highly pursued and multi-tasking ability is a must have quality. Effective typing skills is highly regarded, and additional computer skills is a huge asset. Avid learners and proactive individuals are significantly appreciated.

Responsibilities:

-ensure prescriptions are filled accurately and efficiently complying to provincial pharmaceutical regulations and standards

-maintain excellent standards of patient care services with effective communication and collaboration

-properly supervise staff and maintain effective working relationships with team, providers, and the community

-identify opportunities for marketing initiatives/approaches including continuous improvements and opportunities

-collaborate with walk-in physician, family physician, surgeon providing therapeutic recommendations

-maintain proper follow-up, monitoring, and referrals to optimize patient health

-diabetes education/asthma education/clinic days

-disease presentations - health awareness, disease prevention

-home visits/consultations/reviews

-expanded practice and specialized clinical services

-project development

Qualifications:

-licensure with the College of Pharmacist of Manitoba in good standing

-certification of Authorization to Administer Drugs and Vaccines by Injection

-other certifications; including prescribing minor ailments and treatment of smoking cessation considered an asset

-Kroll experience considered an asset

All applicants must be willing to adapt to an innovative style of pharmacy practice, including the ability to prioritizes tasks and make professionally guided assessments, conclusions, and decisions in an effective and efficient manner. Applicants must also be flexible to work at various locations. A competitive salary and benefits package may be offered.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: $100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
