Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Senior Estimator is the primary member of the estimating team responsible for all aspects of the estimating and tendering process.
As an Estimator you would be responsible for:
- Reviewing specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.
- Completing detailed quantity take offs including costing of all aspects of the tender.
- Project planning and scheduling for tenders including site logistics and project plans to suit the tender requirements.
- Developing and maintaining work relationships and communication with sub-trades, suppliers, design teams and clients.
- Supporting our Project Managers with negotiation of contracts and project buy outs once tenders have been awarded.
Candidates must have superior communication skills and a demonstrated track record in previous estimating positions with a Commercial Construction Company. At least 5 -10 years of construction industry experience in an estimating position with experience both in estimating and project delivery. Post-secondary education in construction-related disciplines is preferred (Engineering Degree/Technical Diploma).
