MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our residential construction and renovation client to find a first-class Sales & Estimating Manager to join their team in Ottawa. The primary responsibility of this role will be to drive revenue growth, close high-value deals, and oversee project cost estimation with a focus on client satisfaction and operational excellence.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
- Qualify and convert leads using strategic follow-ups and consultative sales techniques
- Develop strong partnerships with real estate agents, developers, and homeowners to generate new and repeat business
- Prepare persuasive proposals, manage the sales pipeline via CRM tools, and deliver detailed reporting
- Analyze project plans and site conditions to develop accurate, competitive cost estimates
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to align with project budgets and standards
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction sales and estimating, particularly in residential renovations
- Proven ability to close high-value deals and exceed revenue targets
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost factors
- Proficiency with CRM and estimation software; experience with Houzz Pro, Google Sheets, or Go High Level is an asset
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills with a results-driven and client-focused mindset
