The Opportunity:
We're searching for a dynamic Director of Talent Management to lead and evolve the organization's approach to developing people and shaping culture. This isn't just about HR programs—it's about building a connected, capable, and future-ready workforce through thoughtful strategy and hands-on leadership.
This role reports directly to the Vice President, People & Culture and plays an integral part on both the P&C leadership team and the broader senior leadership team. You'll oversee a high-performing group focused on talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, and organizational development—while embedding equity, inclusion, and belonging at every step of the employee journey.
What You'll Do:
Talent Strategy & Development
- Design and execute a forward-looking talent strategy that aligns with evolving business needs.
- Lead a holistic learning and development approach to empower employees and accelerate leadership growth.
- Drive an engaging and values-aligned performance management framework that supports growth and accountability.
- Establish a succession planning roadmap to build internal capacity and strengthen leadership pipelines.
- Implement initiatives to enhance the employee experience, from engagement surveys to recognition programs.
- Champion a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture where all voices are heard and valued.
- Strengthen the employer brand and guide strategic talent acquisition efforts to attract top-tier, diverse talent.
- Lead a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team across learning, development, and recruitment functions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives and department heads, offering insights and solutions on people and culture matters.
- Manage key vendor relationships and ensure delivery of high-impact, cost-effective services.
- Use data to drive decisions—develop dashboards, track talent metrics, and offer actionable insights that inform priorities.
- 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in talent management, with a strong background in strategy and implementation.
- A proven track record of building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams.
- Experience aligning people strategies with organizational transformation and change.
- Deep knowledge of L&D, leadership development, performance management, and workforce planning.
- A DEI-first mindset, with a commitment to inclusive practices at every level.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Public sector or unionized environment experience is a strong asset.
- Designations such as CHRP or CTDP are helpful, though not required.
