Since our inception, over 100 years ago, we've remained agile, and offer a client-centric focus, that most larger firms simply cannot provide. We want to do great things; we need your help As our new Utilities Lead, you'll provide leadership and oversight on a number of large, ongoing track and transportation projects. Your contributions will ensure a smooth process through the planning and implementation stages of designs. You'll also ensure that your team and third parties stay informed on project scopes and timelines. Your tasks will include: * Consult with design teams on project requirements relating to utilities (hydro, electric, infrastructure, virtual, etc.) * Understand the impact of various designs in utility stakeholders through data, research, and consultation with utility/engineering firms. * Develop mitigation strategies and design solutions. * Provide project management for individual projects relating to utility adjustments (such as service interruptions, relocations, modifications etc.) * Negotiate relocation agreements. * Get approval for designs within deadlines. * Oversee the work of 2+ utility engineers. In addition to a competitive salary, you'll receive plenty of perks and benefits: * Competitive benefits package. * 3+ weeks' vacation. * RRSP matching. * Paid attendance at one conference/professional development event per year. This position entails 40 hours per week, and generally requires availability during business hours with flexibility. There will be some travel involved in this role within Southern Ontario.
