Responsibilities:
- Manages a remote team of Field Nurses within assigned geographical territory
- Achieves Key Performance Indicators for clinic and nursing operations, including budget and expense controls
- Monitors demand for clinic and nursing services to ensure adequate resource availability to meet customer and patient care services required within assigned region
- Maintains a high level of excellence through audits of clinics and nursing, including protocols and on-site visits
- Manages clinic growth opportunities including site identification and establishing new clinic sites
- Achieves Key Performance Indicators for clinics and nursing operation services
- Reviews reports as it relates to field nurse staff training and ensure that their nurses are compliant
- Continuously reviewing and managing the availability of candidates staff to ensure that it meets the needs within the IBU
- Collaboration with Scheduling Associates to ensure efficient appointment scheduling that fall in line with KPI's (6 hrs/wk)
- Responsible for being available to cover any emergency excursions, sick/emergency calls and or clinical questions with support of the regional team as necessary.
- Communicates and implements all program and departmental policies and protocols at the IBU level
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures
- Establishes and maintains excellent customer relationships (patients, manufacturers etc.) within assigned territory
- Interview and manage the onboarding and orientation of new staff and appropriately ensure adequate resourcing for new program launches
- Ongoing performance management (not limited too annual performance reviews, objective-setting and training planning) for all direct reports; including ensuring that the HRIS system is maintained
- Ensuring quarterly reviews on nursing staff within the IBU to ensure that they are working within the appropriate policies and procedures
- Analyzes, plans and implements process improvements to achieve utilization and efficiency targets
- Ensures program (internal/external) requirements are met as it pertains to processes and applicable documentation
- Ensure that the nurses within their IBU are working under the Provincial College of Nurses' and or Associations standards of practice are maintained; (including maintaining annual nursing licensing)
- Ensure that all nurses are certified based on the requirements of a RN or RPN/LPN
- Travels as required throughout assigned territory (including clinic visits to conduct clinic audits as per frequency required) as well as regular travel for management meetings at head office
- Prepare and present Quarterly Business Reviews
- Coordinates all requested clinic visits/tours
- Participates regularly in teleconferences or d/or web based meetings to collaborate and share information
- With discretion, occasional opportunity to provide specialized infusion/injection therapies and nursing services to oncology, auto-immune, rare disease and other therapeutic areas to patients in outpatient clinics or homecare settings
- Execution on key deliverables to maximize on nursing operational imperatives
- Actively strengthening and maintaining existing relationships with KOL partners
- Liaising with other Managers, Field Case Managers, Senior Managers and Directors to create and implement a team approach to service delivery and planning to ensure optimal customer service and seamless program execution in the field, as well as key pharmaceutical and physician/clinic customers
- Organize and coordinates training for new Field Nurses on departmental policies clinical skills, procedures and administrative tasks
- Provides front line support to the Field Nurses in clarifying nursing concerns, payroll concerns, vacation authorization and scheduling issues
- Serves as the primary reviewer of nurse timesheets/expenses to ensure proper completion and accuracy (10 hrs/wk)
- Complete incident reports and corrective action plans (CAPA's) as per company policy
- Ensuring continuous quality improvement and compliance with monthly, quarterly and annually auditing as it pertains to OCC/QA standards
- Performs related duties and tasks as required
- A master s degree or bachelor s degree in business or healthcare operations
- Registered Nurse (RN) certification
- BScN/equivalent or working towards the degree;
- Registration with the College of Nurses in the province of employment is required
- CVAA certification an asset
- BCLS/CPR required and ACLS (optional/as required)
- Minimum 5 - 7 years nursing experience
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of management experience or working with a remote team or related experience in managing and guiding people an asset
- 2-5+ years of leadership experience
- Experience in nurse training & education
- Experience working with the biotechnical/pharmaceutical industry an asset
- Availability and willingness to travel as per business need a must
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office Programs
- Excellent communication and administrative skills
- Strong operational competence, including workflows and resource optimization
- Knowledge and experience in budgeting, reporting, and P&Ls are definite assets
- Proven strategic leadership abilities, particularly in leading change effectively
- Business acumen and experience with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) are highly desirable
- Excellent clinical skills as a nurse including IV initiation, physical assessment, autonomy.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Effective interpersonal, leadership skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to pivot and adapt with excellent problem-solving skills; and to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.

- Hold and maintain a valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver's license.
