THE ROLE

As a general labour/packager, you will be working in a manufacturing facility, doing packaging and general warehouse tasks. This is a great temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a mid size facility for a reputable and leading company in steel distribution industry. You will be working in a team environment on either the day shift or the afternoon shift (you pick). This is a growing company that is very busy right now. This position is located inHamilton on a bus route.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sorting and packaging of steel products
• General warehouse duties- quality control, general clean-up
• Adheres to all Preferred Work Methods and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Carries out duties in a safe manner as instructed through safety training.
• Lifting up to 40 lbs repeatedly

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• Steel manufacturing experience is nice to have
• Work safely and follow all company policies, procedures, and work practices
• Have a great team attitude and willingness to help
• Experience using precision measure tools (vernier calipers)
