Our client in the Mississauga area is recruiting a Divisional Controller to oversee and support a key area of their business. This position works closely with the business leaders and GM.

Our client in the Mississauga area is recruiting a Divisional Controller to oversee and support a key area of their business. This position works closely with the business leaders and GM.

The Divisional Controller will report to the Vice President of Finance and will be a key business leader responsible for Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, cost control, asset management and business decision support for the division. The Divisional Controller will collaborate with senior management to position the business for financial growth and to ensure that the company meets or exceeds its financial commitments. Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and effective financial processes, systems and controls to ensure compliance with Corporate policies and procedures.

  • Undergraduate Degree – Finance or Accounting, Professional Designation (CPA CA, CPA CMA)
  • 7+ years of progressive Accounting and Finance experience
  • Demonstrate the ability to thoroughly understand a business's strategy and determine linkages to financial initiatives and drivers
  • Ability to effectively manage people, projects, and tasks ensuring appropriate responsiveness and priority
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization and influence processes across multiple functions and stakeholders
  • Highly computer proficient, including advanced capabilities with Excel
  • Knowledge of financial and ERP systems
  • Ability to influence and build strong business partnerships
  • Ability to switch quickly and effectively between high level strategic thinking / analysis to detailed reviews/deep dives
  • Strong analytic skills; able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate results in a clear/concise manner
  • Strong business acumen, ability to translate large sets of data into meaningful analysis to support business decision making and strategic direction
