About the Role:
The Freight Forwarding Coordinator acts as the primary point of contact with our customers and vendors. Additionally, the FFC acts as the primary operations contact with ZIM Logistics overseas offices and agents. The FFC conducts effective and efficient handling of shipments to ensure continuous cargo flow whilst respecting company deadlines and objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Operations (40%)
1.Shipment tracking and Tracing
2.Prepare and Communicate Shipping Instructions & Documentation (Arrival Notices & Bill of Lading)
3.Preparation of pre-alerts and alerts to overseas officers and agents
4.Preparation of Cargo pickup, deliveries and drayage
5. Preparation of reports on timelines, movement of cargo,
Customer Service (40%)
1.Interact with Clients and handle account requirements
2.Handle Phones, Emails, and other correspondence with clients and vendors
3.Identify potential issues and work to resolve them quickly.
4.Communicate delays and hold notices on imports
5.Rating and Creation of Invoices
Technology (20%)
1. Maintain and master the Internal CRM and ERP tools
2. Enter milestones into internal customer and operation tools.
3. Support Marketing research for new line study

Two years of customer service and operations in the freight forwarding industry.
Post Secondary Program in the field of supply chain management
Knowledge of ocean AND air AND ground operations
Advanced Excel Skills, PowerPoint, Power BI, SAP
Knowledge of Transportation Management System (e2Open) (not required, an asset)
Knowledge of Canadian Custom Requirements,
English Mandatory job. Knowledge of French an asset. Knowledge of third non-official language a strong asset.
Desired Knowledge:
• Knowledge of Canadian Customs requirements (ACI, HS Code, Fumigation)
• Knowledge of Incoterms
