Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst is as follows but not limited to:
- FP&A and Financial Modeling:
Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and financial models to support business planning and decision-making. Deliver insights into business drivers impacting performance and profitability. - Trade Spend Analysis:
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to track and analyze trade promotions and spend efficiency. Evaluate ROI and provide recommendations to optimize trade strategies. - Reporting and Compliance:
Assist in the analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financials. Ensure reporting accuracy, timely close processes, and adherence to financial controls. - Costing and Inventory Analysis:
Support operations and production teams in monitoring product costing and inventory valuation. Conduct margin and yield analyses to identify efficiency opportunities across the supply chain. - General Ledger and Account Oversight:
Maintain integrity of the general ledger, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and prepaids. Oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules. - Process Improvement and ERP Utilization:
Help optimize finance processes and improve use of ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis. Leverage BI tools and Excel models for efficient data extraction and visualization. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as a finance business partner across departments including Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Procurement. Contribute financial insights to support pricing, new product development, and capital investments.
TMGNY
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA designation preferred or in progress.
- 3–5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial reporting, and trade spend analysis within a manufacturing or consumer goods environment.
- Proficient in IFRS and GAAP accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar platforms is an asset).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience working with BI tools and large datasets to generate actionable insights. Building dashboards in BI will be considered an asset.
- Team player with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
