We are currently seeking a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our innovative team at our state-of-the-art Edmonton facility. This full-time, year-round position offers an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of heavy equipment while promoting safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty equipment such as loaders, excavators, and trucks.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues systematically.
  • Complete precise and detailed service reports for all maintenance and repair work.
  • Assist with prioritizing repair orders in collaboration with management.
  • Mentor and support apprentice mechanics as needed.
  • Adhere to Wilco's safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure tools are in good condition.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification (Red Seal).
  • Demonstrated experience in repairing and maintaining heavy-duty equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Effective problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency with technology and ability to adapt to new software.
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the heavy-duty industry.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with CVIP inspections is a plus.
