* Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 for junior, up to $120,000 for intermediate * Work on a variety of local projects with an end result you can see * Opportunities to deepen your knowledge in other disciplines according to interest * Must have an understanding of stormwater management models We are Upper Canada Consultants (http://www.ucc.com/index.html) , a mid-sized consulting engineering firm focused on private sector developments and municipal infrastructure. We take clients from a patch of land to a fully realized project, and we do it all in-house. We're building and reshaping the Niagara region. Your purpose as our new Stormwater Management Engineerwill be to develop and implement stormwater management solutions. Your tasks will include: * Designing and modelling stormwater management ponds, storm and sanitary sewers, flood plains, and watermains * Producing plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and preparing stormwater management figures for inclusion in reports * Writing reports to clearly and efficiently present design concepts to regulatory agencies * Producing detailed and technically accurate stormwater management computation models for both small and large sites using a variety of engineering techniques * Collaborating on-site and in the office with planners, environmental consultants, clients and other engineers in the collaborative process of design Working with Upper Canada Consultants: You'll love it here if you like being challenged, and growing every day. You'll manage between five and ten projects at once, each in different stages. Our talented, tenacious team includes urban planners, field technicians, surveyors, CAD specialists and engineers of varying experience and specialty. You'll often work from 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility in your hours as you need. Our team is highly collaborative, so you'll be needed regularly in our brand-new office. Qualifications * Software modelling experience (e.g. MIDUSS, PC SWMM, OTTHYMO, HEC, etc.) * Experience using AutoCAD for drafting (Civil 3D an asset) * Understanding of stormwater management models * Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for site visits * Microsoft Excel, including VBA and macros * Experience reading municipal/development-related engineering drawings * Experience overseeing junior technical staff or technicians (an asset) * Relevant engineering degree, and registered or eligible to be registered as P.Eng How to Apply Our online application gives you the chance to apply as more than just a resume.
