We are looking to recruit a dedicated individual to join our carpentry team. You will work independently with input from management, requiring little supervision; reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Compensation Information: $37.93 per hour

Physical Requirement: Heavy, Work activities involve handling loads over 20 kg; in an indoor and outdoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills you bring with you:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a ticketed Journeyperson (ITA endorsed or equivalent) in Carpentry.
  • Proficiency in new construction and renovations.
  • Knowledge of commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Strong knowledge of current B.C. building code regulations.
  • Proactive and dedicated attitude towards workplace safety.
  • Must hold a valid B.C. driver's license, with a clear driving record.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Active participation in Safe Working Practices and Procedures, as per our employee handbook.
  • Work closely with leadership to keep informed of all pertinent projects and initiatives.
  • Guide and direct the activities of Building Maintenance apprentices in consultation with the Building Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.
  • Participate in renovations, additions, and new construction within the resort.
  • Plan, coordinate and perform reoccurring seasonal tasks that ensure quality service for our guests.
  • Daily engagement/execution of maintenance requests, and the documentation of ongoing work.
