Job Description:
- Provides support and guidance to business users, supports all data migration needs and data profiling.
- Has a thorough understanding of data reconciliation and how to reconcile migrated data with source data.
- Demonstrates the capability to write and execute scripts to extract data as part of an automated, repeatable process.
- Identifies the project deliverables and required tasks based on the migration requirements and supports the project manager in planning activities for the data migration delivery.
- Generation of a data mapping documents from source to new AMS system.
- Generation of scripts required for all data migration activities.
- Develops any required data migration specifications, including data mapping and translation, identifies the data for cleansing and oversees the data cleansing.
- Works closely with the project s integration team(s) to identify/adjust data migration requirements for integrated systems and consults with and aligns the owners of those respective systems with the implementation partner/SaaS supplier s migration activities.
- Reviews legacy data and file quality, identifies issues and gaps, analyzes, and recommends remedying approaches.
- Monitors and evaluates data migration activities in each project stage.
- Execution of processes to ensure all required data is migrated to and validated in new AMS system.
- Performs all data migration activities including testing, audit, reconciliation, and exception reporting, if necessary.
- Works closely with business and project resources to prioritize business and project needs.
- The data migration specialist will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and complete the Privacy and Security training, as required by the AMS Project, prior to commencing the assignment.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline and a minimum of six years of experience in information management or related work experience. (Yes or No)
- Expertise in using common tools and methods for extraction, conversion, and loading of data, including SQL in Oracle, and MS SQL Server. 6 Years
- Demonstrated experience developing scripts in Transact SQL and PL/SQL. 6 years
- Demonstrated experience working independently to deliver complex data migration solutions in the large enterprise environment (s). 4 Years
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in data migration analysis (data Client, mapping, extraction, cleansing, load). 6 years
- Demonstrated self-driven and results-focused problem-solving approach with critical thinking abilities in addressing and fixing complicated issues in complex large-scale data migration projects. 4 years
- Demonstrated experience applying knowledge of data migration best practices and data migration tools. 4 years
- Demonstrated experience in data integration between legacy and new systems. 4 years
- Experience using various data formats such as database extracts, spreadsheets, CSV, etc. 4 years
- Demonstration Experience transferring data between Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. 4 years
- Demonstrated experience with Master Data Management, Data Governance Practises and Data Protection. 4 years
- Demonstrated experience with at least one (1) cloud SaaS implementation with significant business transformation for complex data conversion would be an asset. 1 Project Reference
- Familiar with Windows Microsoft Operating Systems. 2 years
