JOB TITLE: Maintenance Mechanic

Canada Brick is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our manufacturing facility in Burlington, Ontario. Canada Brick is a subsidiary of General Shale Brick, North America's largest manufacturer of clay bricks and other masonry materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repair and troubleshoot mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics and conveying systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and welding procedures.
• Assist and work alongside all members of the Production Department.
• Assist the Production Department with job changes.
• Lubricates Kiln Car wheels and assists on bearing or wheel changes.
• Actively participates in maintenance shutdowns scheduled or unscheduled overtime will be required at times.
• Work in a safe and efficiently manner, according to company policies.
• Monitors Dust Collector system.
• Actively supports other crewmembers, when required.
• Reports Maintenance requests to the Supervisor and/or Lead Hands

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• 4+ years Maintenance Mechanic experience.
• Conveying, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical, Pipefitting, Welding and Plumbing skills.
• An understanding of PLC and VFD System.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma / Maintenance Trade Courses.
