Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Cambridge, ON. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Technical Sales Leader drives growth and market penetration for the client's specialized product lines, including tanks, vessels, autoclaves, and mechanical scopes.
  • The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strategic sales leadership, fostering collaboration within the team and directly engaging with clients to deliver tailored solutions.
  • This role needs regular travel to maintain and develop good customer relationships, expand into key markets, and effectively represent the client's capabilities.
  • The Technical Sales Leader will drive the division's sales strategy, including client engagement, market analysis, and the development of sales pipelines.
  • They will collaborate closely with internal teams to align operations, engineering, and business objectives, ensuring seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to the client's product lines.
  • Conduct market segmentation and identify opportunities for tanks, vessels, autoclaves, and related mechanical solutions.
  • Analyze and forecast sales trends to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
  • Build and sustain good relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Act as a technical advisor, translating client needs into actionable engineering and production requirements.
  • Address customer satisfaction goals and drive client retention.
  • Work closely with operations and engineering teams to understand capacity and ensure alignment on delivery timelines.
  • Lead, train, and mentor sales team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional programs and sales tools.
  • Perform detailed estimation for pressure vessel projects, including analyzing specifications, drawings, and client requirements to develop accurate cost models.
  • Calculate material, labor, and fabrication costs, ensuring estimates align with project goals, timelines, and profitability targets.
  • Prepare comprehensive bid proposals for client submissions, including pricing, technical documentation, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to ensure accurate and executable estimates.
  • Conduct risk assessments and factor in contingencies to account for potential challenges in manufacturing or delivery.
  • Stay current with industry standards, regulatory requirements, fabrication techniques, and material pricing trends related to pressure vessels.
  • Continuously refine estimation processes and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Business Development, GM, and Director of Operations to explore new product offerings.
  • Propose and refine pricing strategies to align with market demands and profitability goals.
  • Travel to client sites, trade shows, and other industry events to promote the client's offerings
  • Represent the company as a technical and sales expert, showcasing the value of its solutions.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $100K - $150K/year.

Hours: 40 hours/week.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical sales experience, ideally in industrial processing or engineered products.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership and team-building experience, including managing internal and external sales teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with COMPRESS.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Proven understanding of tanks, vessels, autoclaves, and mechanical components.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
