Qualifications

To be considered for a position with Alltron Systems, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • CFAA registered
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the Edmonton and surrounding areas
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in fire alarm system installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
  • Strong electrical knowledge and ability to work with power tools
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including NFPA regulations
  • Certification in fire alarm technology or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Programming experience with fire alarm panels is an asset
  • Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and possess a strong work ethic

Duties:

  • Install, program, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications, local codes, and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and in compliance with standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning fire alarm equipment, including detectors, control panels, annunciators, and communication devices.
  • Document all work performed, including inspections, tests, maintenance, and repairs, accurately and thoroughly.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers and other team members as needed.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments, new technologies, and changes in regulations related to fire alarm systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion of installations and projects.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00-$55.00 per hour

Experience:

  • alarm technician experience required

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
  • Certification in fire alarm technology (preferred)
