Now, we are looking for a Controller to join our team and manage our financial operations. Controller: Your goal in this position is to oversee our accounting and finance functions, and ensure that we're making sound financial decisions. You will do this by managing accounting and financial practices like payables, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, as well as by performing these duties on a daily basis and always maintaining confidentiality. Practically speaking, you will: * Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and ledgers * Oversee the accounting cycle and recordkeeping, and cash management * Manage the company's assets and finances to ensure solid variance analysis, and manage daily operations to ensure all transactions are recorded according to our policies and procedures * Assist department managers in reading and interpreting financial reports and with implementing action plans, creating charts, graphs, etc. and gathering and preparing information for meetings, reports, briefs, and other projects * Assist with development of annual budgets and manage budget variances, and forecast * Prepare, reconcile, and analyze balance sheet accounts (e.g., inventory, receivables, fixed assets, etc.) monthly, quarterly, and yearly * Administer the group benefits plan and provide back-up support for payroll Our business is constantly changing, and you will be in an exciting position to help us make large scale decisions that will positively impact us and the future of our business. Working at Meridian RV: This is a full-time permanent position, working in our Port Coquitlam dealership, with occasional travel (with travel costs reimbursed) to our dealership in 100 Mile House. You will work from Monday to Friday, from 8:30am-5:00pm. You will earn a competitive compensation of $85,000-110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, health and dental benefits, and paid vacation time. Qualifications: * CPA, CMA, or CGA designation * Experience working as an Accounting Controller or similar accounting position, overseeing financial operations and strategy * Experience working in an RV dealership or an automotive dealership * Strong proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and using Excel for financial reporting and analysis * Experience using an accounting software (specifically IDS or similar) * Experience mentoring, leading, and motivating employees * Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or similar * Valid driver's license and access to own vehicle How to Apply: Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
