Job Description and Responsibilities
Safely operate the CNC lathe to produce premium couplings within specifications. Perform regular maintenance on the equipment.
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
  • Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
  • Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
  • Repair machine tools and parts
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports

Requirements
  • Grade 12 minimum
  • Computer numerical control (CNC) machine operation experience is preferred, but not required
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
  • Read and understand API 5CT specifications and computer skills
  • Able to do shift work
  • Ability to work independently
  • Fast-paced environment and tight deadlines
  • Repetitive tasks and physically demanding
  • Standing for extended periods and attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation is required, as the job site is not accessible by public transit
