Main Purpose of the Role:

The Account Owner is the primary point of contact with the customer and provides customer/technical support, planning and optimization for the account. The Account Owner maintains and develops relationships with existing and new clients while ensuring the best possible revenue for ZIM.

Main Tasks:

  • Meets with clients for negotiating rates and closing deals
  • Delivers all sales presentations to key clients
  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans
  • Develops new accounts
  • Establishes and coordinates specialized rates (per commodity - if/when mandate has been assigned to him/her) for each office
  • Communicates with other offices in regards to specialized rates
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • CAN Marketing Report (weekly)
  • Weekly target report
  • Monitor and manage account's business volume and revenue metrics within our company CRM system
  • Maintain and log sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Generate periodic customer forecast figures.
  • Respond to inquiries, by email or phone, from clients/vendors and other ZIM Offices
  • Act as a back up to team members

Requirements:
  • Diploma or college equivalent
  • Three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Literacy
  • Strong Proficiency in Excel
  • Current or prior Industry experience is a MUST!
