Main Purpose of the Role:
The Account Owner is the primary point of contact with the customer and provides customer/technical support, planning and optimization for the account. The Account Owner maintains and develops relationships with existing and new clients while ensuring the best possible revenue for ZIM.
Main Tasks:
- Meets with clients for negotiating rates and closing deals
- Delivers all sales presentations to key clients
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans
- Develops new accounts
- Establishes and coordinates specialized rates (per commodity - if/when mandate has been assigned to him/her) for each office
- Communicates with other offices in regards to specialized rates
- Forecast and track key account metrics
- CAN Marketing Report (weekly)
- Weekly target report
- Monitor and manage account's business volume and revenue metrics within our company CRM system
- Maintain and log sales activities in the CRM system.
- Generate periodic customer forecast figures.
- Respond to inquiries, by email or phone, from clients/vendors and other ZIM Offices
- Act as a back up to team members

Requirements:
- Diploma or college equivalent
- Three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer Literacy
- Strong Proficiency in Excel
- Current or prior Industry experience is a MUST!
