Full job description

Qualifications and Skills

  • B.ASc. or B.Eng. in Civil Engineering with a Structural major. Master's degree encouraged;

  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer or EIT with EGBC;

  • Structural design experience in concrete, steel, and wood; 2 years minimum

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • A working knowledge of the BC Building Code;

  • Ability to accurately read and interpret drawing plans.

  • A multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment;

  • Organized, efficient and confident.

Duties:

  • Assist in detailed structural design under the guidance of the structural team leader.

  • Maintain an active role from design development and into construction.

  • Maintain ongoing communication and coordination with design consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

  • Possess a solid understanding of relevant codes and standards related to design responsibilities.

  • Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of project outcomes.

  • Foster strong relationships with clients and actively support the promotion of our core values.

  • Contribute to expanding the team's technical knowledge and resources.

  • Approach problem-solving with creativity and innovation.

  • Collaborate with a passionate, focused, and committed team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
