Our DJB offices have an immediate opening for a full-time Staff Accountant (Senior or Supervisor), Tax. Reporting to Partners and Managers, you will be responsible for: * Compliance review of tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, and partnerships, and the related foreign reporting requirements * Participating in tax planning engagements and the preparation of technical tax memos * Preparing instruction letters for the execution of corporate reorganizations, estate & post-mortem tax planning, business succession planning, and the purchase & sale of a business * Conducting tax research and interpreting tax legislation and proposed legislative changes * Providing technical expertise as an internal resource to staff who need tax support on their client files or on specific questions from their clients * Preparing client correspondence, including; reports & analysis, discussion of technical issues and recommendations, and attending client meetings where appropriate * Providing assistance to other offices of the Firm, as required, and collaborating with other service lines across the firm The successful candidate will have: * Experience in Public Accounting * 2-5 years of work experience with Canadian Income Taxation * For the Senior role, candidates must have successfully passed the Common Final Examination (CFE).
