Job Description:
Our member company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Manager to join their team, in Brantford, ON. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a sales strategy, address customer concerns and identify sales opportunities to achieve organizational sales goals and revenues. Sales Manager will also be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, meeting sales targets, and ensuring efficient sales operations. Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company's customer base and ensure its strong presence. Successful candidate will possess strong crane, hydraulic, and technical knowledge to confidently support the fabrication and installation departments while addressing and customizing all the customer requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and organize detailed record of design and project drawings, diagrams, standards, technical aspects, etc. and itemize for internal specification sheets
- Establish and organize detailed build sheets with breakdown of equipment components, codes, parts, assemblies, etc. for new builds
- Trade show support including dealer contractor events
- Perform in-service engagement, facilitating interaction, and offering creative, practical, and viable problem solving
- Occasional (domestic and US) travel required
- Participate in departmental and managerial meetings
- Verify and predetermine customer questions to establish budget, timelines, industry and add on equipment for related quotations, estimates, service contracts and agreements
- Responsible for managing customers' expectations during install process, informing them of company processes, policies, and timelines
- Update related departments of change orders, upgrades, adjustments in offering, pricing, or inventory issues
- Provide accounting department with information for invoicing
- Responsible for answering all sales calls, leads, and monitor email inquiries in an efficient manner with excellent customer service skills in both strong written and verbal communication
- Monitor, track, and follow up on parts delays, shipping issues, warranties, etc. related to new builds
- Assuring consistent availability and communication, and addressing any issues that may impact customers and their business operations
- Creating, preserving, and managing relationships ensuring effective communication
- Addressing build change requests, reviewing, and communicating as necessary
- Collaborating with necessary means to guarantee a seamless delivery
- Notifying management about price fluctuations and availability
- Documentation, review, and revision control related to drawings, specifications, build sheets, etc. for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to effectively identify, recognize and respond to any discrepancies with all customer related issues
- Establish, maintain and systemize accurate documentation processes and protocols
- Initiate, build, and maintain ongoing relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and initiate actions within the scope of authority
- Maintain standards of confidentiality
- Ensure a positive and professional attitude while working with peers
- Ability to identify opportunities, multi-task, and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail with both written and verbal communication
- Control of all digital and document policies and processes for quotes, estimates, agreements, etc.
- Over 5 years of experience within the manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Team oriented with the capacity to form effective and solid relationships with all departments
- Self-motivated and management skills with the ability to make solid business decisions
- Valid driver's license
- Reliability, integrity, passion, and in person presentation skills with strong ability to close contracts and transactions
- Exceptional industry leading customer service skills with a proven strength in exceeding customer expectations with an ability to identify best practices
