What you will be doing:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all employees' HR-related inquiries, concerns and grievances.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and ensure fair & consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Manage and develop collaboration with employee representatives / works councils / shop committee.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws, regulations and company policies, keeping constant follow up on changes.
- Ensure that local employment and benefit practices are established, employment contractual matters are properly prepared, maintained and developed regularly.
- Participate in global development of wide range of people & culture topics and ensure their deployment and possible localization to the country.
- Establish local employer branding plan and deliver activities accordingly.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify resourcing needs, establish effective recruitment tactics and managing the end-to-end process until hiring is complete.
- Overseeing the onboarding process for new hires.
- Provide guidance & coaching relating to performance improvement plans and compensation decisions.
- Support managers & employees to identify proper learning and development needs, provide coordination for selected L&D initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records & HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Generate regular HR reports and metrics to provide insights on country level HR trends and KPIs.
- Responsible for designing and developing local people related policies, practices and procedures. Once approved, you will train and advise the organization to work accordingly.
- Responsible to apply global people processes and practices into use in the country.
- Participate in the creation and organization of employee focused events, award presentations, and other culture building activities.
- You have a Bachelor degree in HR, business administration, or a related field. CPHR certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations and HR best practices, ideally in both Canada and the US.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relations in all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrated experience in handling employee relations issues, handling sensitive data, and utilizing different talent acquisition and development concepts
