ABOUT THE POSITION

Wildhorse Saloon is looking for experienced beer tub and shooter tray attendants to fill out their team on a full-time seasonal contract for the duration of the Calgary Stampede. Beer tub and shooter tray attendants are responsible for several functions including, but not limited to, providing exceptional customer service to all guests in a prompt and friendly manner, following all laws and regulations regarding liquor service, and setting up/stocking your station.

WHAT YOU'LL GET

    • Hourly Wage: $15.00 an hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Consistently execute drink production according to established principles and practices.
    • Provide the highest level of customer service to all guests, while maintaining a personable and professional image representative of company values.
    • Adapt to different personalities of clients, vendors, and coworkers to maintain high service levels and efficient operations.
    • Ensure all services and orders delivered within the beer tub/tray are charged correctly.
    • Maintain effective cost and portion controls to meet profit goals.
    • Guarantee station/tray is kept organized and clean at all times.
    • Ensure drink times are in line with the company guidelines.
    • Fully understand and comply with all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the company, employees, and guests.
    • Execute ad-hoc administrative and operational duties as required.
    • Work overtime when needed and assist the workload of others.

WHAT YOU HAVE

    • 1+ years' serving or bartending experience in a high-volume environment required.
    • Strong English communication skills and outgoing personality with ability to establish and develop relationships with both guests and team members.
    • A strong understanding of service procedures and functions.
    • Basic math skills, can handle money, and operate a point-of-sale system.
    • A valid Alberta ProServe Certification obtained prior to starting.
    • Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
    • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
    • Capacity to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food or beverages frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
    • Over 18 years of age as alcohol service and late-night availability is a requirement.
