Job Description:
Position Overview: As a 310T Mechanic at T.G. Carroll Cartage Ltd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and machinery, including trucks, buses, and construction equipment, to the highest industry standards. Your expertise and commitment to safety will help keep our operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnosis and Repair: Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues with vehicles and equipment. Conduct repairs and maintenance to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire replacements, and engine tune-ups.
• Inspections: Conduct safety inspections and emissions testing as required by regulations. Ensure vehicles and equipment are compliant with all applicable standards.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed, including parts used, labor hours, and service history.
• Parts Management: Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance. Keep track of stock levels and reorder as necessary.
• Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines when working on vehicles and equipment. Report any safety hazards or concerns promptly.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other mechanics and team members to ensure efficient shop operations and effective problem-solving.

Qualifications:

• Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician license in Ontario.
• Experience as a licensed 310T Mechanic, with a strong understanding of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
