Career Opportunity

Brimell Toyota, a proud member of the Drive Autogroup is currently seeking an Team Lead Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude along with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. In this role you will be responsible for supervising and guiding a team of technicians while ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will oversee the completion of technical tasks, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the team meets deadlines and quality standards. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining a productive and positive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, supervise, and provide guidance to a team of technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Assign daily tasks and priorities based on workflow and team strengths.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring quick and effective solutions.
  • Monitor team performance, provide coaching and training, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and company policies are followed on the job.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools and parts needed for repairs and service.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to the team and customers as needed.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, equipment, and technology.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Licensed Technician.
  • Must have 310S certification and Class A Automotive Mechanic's license.
  • Other certifications or licenses mandated by provincial law (ex: 310s , Ozone Depletion
  • OSSD or equivalent preferred
  • Strong automotive background.
  • Must have a valid Ontario driver's license with a clean abstract.

Skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and able to bend, squat, crouch, reach as job requires.
  • Knowledge and use of power, machine, and hand tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate automotive issues clearly.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
