Our client, a boutique law firm in Vaughan, ON. is in search of a Real Estate Law Clerk to join their growing firm.
About the Role
The Real Estate Law Clerk will provide crucial support in handling a full range of real estate transactions, including commercial real estate, residential purchases and sales, and mortgage/refinancing matters. You will work closely with lawyers and clients to ensure files are completed efficiently and accurately from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage real estate files independently from opening to closing
Draft and prepare documents for:
Residential and commercial purchase and sale transactions
Mortgage and refinancing transactions
Title transfers and survivorship applications
Commercial leases and lease summaries
Conduct and review title searches, off-title searches, and prepare title reports
Prepare and register documents using Teraview
Communicate with clients, lenders, municipal offices, and other law firms
Coordinate closings, including trust ledger preparation and disbursements
Ensure compliance with all deadlines and procedural requirements
Maintain accurate and organized file records, both physical and digital

What You Bring
As the ideal candidate, you possess 10+ years' experience supporting real estate legal practices; preferrably gained in a law firm environment. You have successfully obtained a legal administration/law clerk diploma through an accredited institution and thrive in a fast pace environment. You are versed in the entire MS Office Suite, PC Law (or similar), Teraview, and other legal software.
