As a competitive, high-energy extrovert with a passion for sports, pop culture, the entertainment industry, and all things social media, you know two things to be true: the best team always wins, and the best stay on top because of hard work and dedication. And like the Patriots dynasty or Drake's six consecutive #1 LP's, you're driven to succeed and be the best at whatever you do. That's why you were made for us. We're Showtime Tickets (http://www.showtimetickets.com/) , and we've been providing reliable, consistent access to major entertainment events for over 30 years. Our tickets take people to the events that really matter: last minute playoff seats, one of a kind tours, and sold out concerts. Now we're looking to add a new member of our team – someone who is eager to take on a dynamic, challenging, and competitive role, and help people have the experience of a lifetime. That's where you come in As our new Events Specialist, you'll be involved in both sides of our business: working to support our operations team in our ticket buying objectives, and connecting customers with the unique experiences those tickets are sure to provide. Our industry evolves on nearly a daily basis and competition is fierce, so you can be sure that no two days will ever be the same. We became the best at what we do because of our teamwork, so this will be critical to your success: you'll excel in communication, build rapport through all mediums (phone/email/social media), and eagerly take on different roles and responsibilities on an ongoing and flexible basis. We also take a project-based approach to our work, so your natural strength at organization, and ability to think from a project planning perspective will be key. We also take pride in giving people the chance to attend the live events that are special to them. So as our new events specialist you'll need to be enthusiastic, helpful, and solution oriented. You love solving problems to make people happy, and your own passion for entertainment drives your dedication to providing clients with amazing experiences. More generally, we're looking for someone who's got knowledge and interest in current trends, particularly technology and social media. Our online activities and presence are at the core of our business, so it's important that you're highly intelligent, capable of adapting quickly to meet the needs of the industry, and hungry to learn and grow. You'll be perfect for this role if you're: * Detail and goal oriented – you understand how little things add up to success in the long run. Whether it's the smallest detail or a result you've been after for weeks, you always know what's important and what's not. * A multitasker – multiple and competing priorities are no problem for you because you're used to having to balance different tasks with different and competing timelines. * Outgoing – you're motivated by the desire to meet and exceed expectations at all times. That's why you're always looking for ways to improve yourself, your job, and our business. * A problem solver – you don't limit yourself to the obvious or easy fixes. If there's a better way to solve a problem, you'll find it. Working @ Showtime This is a full-time, permanent position with flexible business hours that will include some evenings and weekends. We offer an attractive hourly wage plus commission, benefits, and vacation. Our business is made up of just seven hard working people, and while we might be a small group, we get a lot done, so you can be sure that as the newest member of our team you'll have a big impact from day one. That also means that if you're looking to grow professionally, this is the place for you. Beyond our friendly and supportive company culture, we've got a great location too: right in downtown Vancouver, one block away from the SkyTrain. Qualifications * Experience in a customer facing role, preferably in sales, service or similar * Experience in event planning and/or project management would be a great asset * Being passionate and knowledgeable about live events and pop culture is an absolute must have * Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office, Google Apps, and ability to learn new software/programs related to our business * Proficient in research and analyzing information from multiple social media platforms to determine market demand How to Apply Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume. The application will assess your qualifications, personality traits and workplace preferences, and should take 10 to 15 minutes to complete. After submitting, you'll receive an email inviting you to log in and view your assessment results. We value diversity and inclusion and encourage all qualified people to apply. If we can make this easier through accommodation in the recruitment process, please contact us with the “Help” button in the application. We will review applications, with priority given to those who have completed the assessment, and look forward to hearing from you.
