Our client in the Retail industry is looking for a Finance Manager to join them on an 18 - month assignment. The role will be working onsite at their offices in St. Catharines 5 days a week.
The Finance Manager will manage and provide guidance / coaching to a team of 2 team members and will be involved in the day-to-day business unit's finance team and activities such as the financial accounting and reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventory.
Additionally, the Finance Manger duties will include:
- Perform an efficient and effective financial close and reporting for the business unit as part of a (targeted) 3 day close each month and answer any questions or queries related to the financial results
- Provide financial reporting, analysis and insights to local business unit management team and the company, including analysis of actual results vs. budget, forecast and estimates
- Implement and maintain compliance with internal controls and financial accountability
TMGCT
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, commerce or business administration with CPA or equivalent designation
- 6+ years of progressive accounting / finance experience being a key contributor to the financial close and related activities
- 3+ years of management experience with a track record of leading and developing team members
- Proven self-starter and able to work independently
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting
