Job Summary:
A Chief Crew Flood Technician plays a crucial role in coordinating and leading flood restoration projects while upholding our organization's commitment to developing people, caring for the planet, building communities, and restoring homes. As a hands-on leader, you will oversee the execution of flood remediation activities, manage a team of technicians, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and foster positive relationships with clients and community stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise flood restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and quality standards.
- Conduct site assessments, evaluate the extent of water damage, and develop restoration plans.
- Coordinate and allocate tasks among the team, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians, ensuring the application of proper flood remediation techniques and equipment usage.
- Monitor project progress, identify and address any issues or obstacles and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Foster a collaborative, supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and employee engagement.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team members' technical skills and knowledge.
- Ensure effective communication channels within the team and promote a culture of open dialogue and problem-solving.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, establishing and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Uphold a high standard of customer service, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Promote our organization's social purpose.
- Maintain the safety of workers and property on job sites.
- Planning labour needs with Dispatch and Project Manager teams.
- Ensure all documentation and reporting are completed by the end of the day.
- Adhere to applicable safety internal policies and province regulations, PPCR safe work practices and procedures, and promote a health and safety culture.
- Be environmentally conscious and focus on sustainable practices during restoration operations.
- Be proficient in applicable Flood Labourer and Flood Technician tasks.
- Maintaining a neat and orderly company vehicle if assigned.
- Assisting with other restoration repair aspects from time to time, such as drywall board-ups.

Compensation
Wage: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on experience)

Requirements:
- 2 – 5 years of experience in the Restoration industry is preferred.
- 2 – 5 years working in the trades, construction or renovation industries.
- Pass a criminal background check and driver's abstract check, to our approval.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
- Be knowledgeable of local building code requirements.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Possess strong leadership abilities with previous experience in team management and coordination.
- In-depth knowledge of flood restoration techniques, equipment, and industry best practices.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear interaction with team members, clients, and different stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution abilities.
- Great time management abilities.
- Exposure to project management is preferred.
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Achieve Site Lead status as a Flood Technician
- Possess their WRT certification through IICRC.
- CCT, FRST, and AHERA certifications are all considered assets.
