We are currently seeking a PMO Director to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Job Description:
As a PMO Director, you will apply your strong leadership and relationship management skills to manage the digital transformation of the applications that our clients rely on to serve their customers. Our clients need to have their business transformed to succeed in an increasingly complex marketplace. You will advise them on portfolio management and PMO best practices, work with our enterprise PMO practice define, plan and establish PMO processes at client sites, manage projects consistently, and deliver on anticipated project benefits while meeting expectations for budget, scope and timelines.
You will help us by being responsible for managing all aspects of projects throughout the project lifecycle – Initiation, Planning, Execution, Control and Closure. You will be highly experienced with a variety of waterfall and agile By additionally using Agile project management methodologies and have the experience to know when to apply them to our clients' unique needs. Y, you will ensure the that development teams are is well positioned to succeed and product owners are thrilled with delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring that requirements for your projects are fulfilled with excellence.
You also help our clients:
• Establish standardized project management methodologies aligned to Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices
• Implement and use planning and management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira or others
• Define, implement and realize benefits from consistent auditing, monitoring and reporting of projects in alignment to strategic objectives
• Mentor, train and coach other PMs and teams
• Develop and maintain project on boarding materials for clients

Once You Are Here, You Will:
• Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria in collaboration with project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans using appropriate tools and methodologies, such as Microsoft Project, Agile, Scrum, etc.
• Manage project resources, budget, schedule, quality, risk, issues, and changes using best practices and standards.
• Ensure projects adhere to our clients' privacy and security requirements.
• Communicate project status, progress, issues, and risks to project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members on a regular basis.
• Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, workshops, reviews, and presentations.
• Ensure project deliverables meet the requirements and expectations of the project sponsors and stakeholders.
• Conduct project closure activities, such as lessons learned, documentation, handover, etc.
• Manage the planning, requirements, design, construction, testing, and maintenance of application modernization projects across a wide range of technology platforms
• Manage engagement scope and client expectations
• Manage the successful completion of projects, adhering to schedules, budgets and resource availability
• Conduct proactive appraisal of team deliverables against statements of work
• Develop and foster collaborative working relationships with clients
• Manage teams of with members from several organizations, including NTT DATA, the client, and other vendors.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of project delivery methods, techniques, processes, and practices
• Support project procurement activities such as RFP development, response evaluations and vendor selection.
Required Qualifications:
• Recent experience setting up at least two Project Management Offices at a large organization, preferably but not limited to the Public Sector
• Experience running 2 -3 concurrent projects, and of working in settings where multiple parallel projects are underway
• Experience delivering at least one multi-year transformation project with a total contract value > $2M
• Experience leading project teams of at least 6 resources
• 8-10 years of related Project Management experience
• 5+ years' experience in a client-facing Project Management role
• 5+ years' experience applying PMI's PMBOK pragmatically to specialized software development engagements
• 5+ years' experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• PMP designation
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience
Preferred:
• Familiarity with consulting service-based delivery
• Experience with program-level management and establishing program oversight
