The Project Senior Analyst/Coordinator is responsible for coordinating communication and reporting requirements for major projects within a diverse portfolio. The role involves working closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the quality and timeliness of project reporting, as well as assisting with project management tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Updates: Develop and present project updates to leadership on key metrics such as cost, schedule, risks, and decisions for assigned projects.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., safety, legal, regulatory, contractors) to ensure the smooth progress of projects.
- Risk Management: Assist project teams in identifying, managing, and communicating project risks through proactive stakeholder engagement.
- Project Close-Out: Coordinate the successful close-out and turnover of projects to the relevant business unit.
- Support Project Managers: Assist project managers in holding functional leads accountable and in tracking commercial and contractual transactions.
- Meeting Facilitation: Lead and organize key meetings, including pre-construction meetings, progress updates, deliverable reviews, and lessons-learned sessions.
- Change Management: Track and manage the change management process as requested by project managers.
- Manage operational and capital-funded projects ranging from $1MM to $500MM.
- Oversee 1-10 projects of varying size and complexity.
- Work with complex regulatory requirements and external stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborate closely with project management teams and support services to ensure project goals and milestones are achieved.
- Interface with project sponsors, internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and operations staff.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a project coordination role within an engineering or construction environment.
- Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI).
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge: General understanding of pipeline and terminal operations is preferred.
- Primarily office-based with some fieldwork required.
- Occasional travel (up to 25%) to construction sites, operational facilities, and manufacturer locations.
