Job Title: Packager Operator
Location: Toronto, ON
Job Type: Temporary/Permanent
Salary: $21-$22/hr

Our client in Toronto, ON is actively looking for a Packager Operator to join their team.
The ideal candidate for this job will be an experienced machine and crane operator who is familiar with working in a manufacturing environment with power tools and overhead cranes. In this role, you will be working alongside other machine operators to meet production needs.
Position Description:

• Conduct daily inspections of the Crane equipment at the beginning of each shift
• Assist line operators to stage and load material for the production line
• Use lifting equipment to move the correct material to the production line for each scheduled order
• Package skids of steel sheets according to order specifications
• Participate in daily housekeeping to keep the work area clean and safe
• Work in a safe manner at all times, adhering to company policies

Skills & Qualifications:

• Secondary school education
• Minimum 1 year of overhead crane experience
• Minimum 1 years experience working in a manufacturing environment (Steel industry is an asset) • Must be able to read imperial/metric measuring tape
• Good verbal communication skills
• Forklift experience is an asset
• Be a team player and able to work well with others on the job
